The Board has approved the planning for resuming in person meetings, possibly by around the first of July. In preparation for that, we ask that you participate in a brief survey to help in the planning. Your participation in the survey is extremely important to making decisions in the best interest of the club so please take the time to do so. The option we currently have available to us is a conference room of Mike Murphy’s near the Steamboat Animal Hospital just off of Hwy 101 at the Steamboat Island Exit. This option would provide us a meeting location that is quiet and free from interruptions. There are 2 rooms available. One holds about 10 people and the other about 40. Thus, depending on the number of people we have we can use a room that is most accommodating. There is no food service. However, Mike indicated that there is a nearby coffee shop where drinks and pastries can be purchased and brought in. There would be no cost to the club for use of this space.

The board has approved a budget for purchasing the necessary equipment and capabilities to do hybrid meetings. A hybrid meeting means that the meeting will be connected to Zoom. The meeting room will be equipped with the necessary devices to allow members attending via Zoom to see, hear, and participate in real time with members attending in-person and vice versa. In addition it would allow for the meeting’s speaker to either present in-person or remotely via Zoom.
