Here you will find maps of the routes where I am currently, my future plans, and where I have traveled since the beginning of this journey.
Nomad Dave’s Current Route
The beginning of 2026 is proceeding as seems to be the norm of late, bouncing between my two “homes” in Olympia, Washington and Buenos Aires, Argentina just living a “normal” life. But the adventure starts up again on May 19 when I fly to Europe and reunite with my motorcycle. This year I’ll be taking off from Heidelberg, Germany where my bike is stored and then heading to Scandinavia and the British Isles before hoping a ferry back the Continent in Northwestern France and then back to Heidelberg. Unfortunately the trips are getting shorter and this one will only be 5 weeks. Gone are the days of open-ended, months long journeys but I still try to keep the adventure alive. I’ve been to all the countries on the list for this trip so no doubt it will take me to both familiar and never before visited places. I hope you’ll follow along.
When it is time to hit the road, I carry a SPOT Trace satellite-based tracking device with me. One reason is for safety. The other is so anyone interested in my journey can easily see where I am at any given time. You can see where I am at any given time while I am on an adventure and where I have been throughout the trip.
Just in case you are interested in a Spot Gen4 device for your own travels I have made it easy for you to purchase one by adding a link to it on Amazon.com. While there is a cost for the device itself also keep in mind that there is an annual fee for the tracking service of $149. They only offer service in 1 year increments. In addition, to display the map within my own website (as opposed to the user being redirected to Spot’s website) I use a service provided by Spotwalla.com. It takes a bit of work to understand how to implement it within your own website but it is doable and well worth the effort.
