Ever since I read my first book in seventh grade about the Dolittle Raid on Tokyo at the start of WWII I have been hooked on the history of WWII in the Pacific. When undertaking my journey to travel the world I was excited to visit so many of the places that fill the history books and about which impressionable movies were made. The beauty of the Pacific Theater is that most battles took place on underpopulated islands and thus so much evidence of the war that took place over 75 years prior still exists. I made a concerted effort to search out the remnants of that war and to imagine what took place at a tragic point in time so long ago. In this book I share some amazing pictures and stories from the “Pacific Theater.”
